For several years now, we’ve worked closely with DTC brands, equipping them with data they need to grow their revenue through more repeat purchases. But growth is a two-way street for us.
For every few, “oh my gosh, we love this feature,” there’s a, “I wish the platform also included,” or “I wish I could also…” statement.
9/10 times, those wishes have to do with the appetite for more flexibility and more customization. Out of the box, Peel already provides tons of reports and metrics with dozens of filtering options for segmentation. But with consistent enough feedback, we knew it was time to deliver more open-ended discovery in the platform.
That’s why we built Peel Explore.
We’re providing the blank canvas that you’ve been asking for, which is turning out to be one of our most important product updates yet. So, let’s dive into what it is and how it works!
What is Peel Explore?
Explore is a new feature in Peel that allows you to build your own completely custom report. This allows you to dig deeper into the customer behavior and product data that already lives within Peel, pulled directly from your Shopify and Amazon stores.
Explore gives you more freedom and flexibility to choose what’s in your tailored reports and provides an unprecedented level of customization in Peel. It gives you more power to analyze the various angles of your customer and product data.
How does Peel Explore work?
When you enter the Explore page, you’ll find a blank slate that allows you to select the columns you want to view in your report.
You can select dimensions that are specific to customers like cities and physical locations, as well as product-specific data, campaign and discount codes and so much more.
The sky's the limit here. Anything that’s included in your Shopify or Amazon data (depending on which workspace you’re in), is a possibility to pull into your new report as a column.

Peel Explore is one of our most exciting updates yet and it’ll be available on June 15th to all customers on our Accelerate or Tailored plans! We’re thrilled to have our users start building their own custom reports, so we can see what they cook up. Contrary to what you may assume, creativity and data analysis go hand-in-hand; the more creative you get and the deeper you dive into your data, the more you can personalize your brand experience – from email campaigns to ads to really any touchpoint with your brand.
