What is a SKU?

SKU stands for “Stock Keeping Unit.” This is basically a code (generally alphanumeric) that represents an individual product listing on your online store. SKUs are essential for inventory management and organizing your website. By assigning each product it’s own individual SKU, you can more easily track product performance by looking that SKU up rather than having to know the product's name or marketing description. It’s important to note that SKU’s don’t always represent individual items. Sometimes, they represent bundled products or packs of items listed with their own SKU number.
